Welcome to the discussion forum among Kabul Medical Students (KMU) and Washington State University (WSU) School of Nursing students. KMU and WSU have agreed to work towards the following goals:

  1. foster an appreciation of global health perspectives among our students,
  2. explore possibilities addressing distance education and technology sharing between our programs, and
  3. exchange ideas and insights regarding distance education and pedagogical approaches toward the education of nursing students.

This is a program funded by USAID and implemented by WSU. The goal of Afghan eQuality Alliances is equal access to quality education and e-education resources. One of the outcomes is faculty (lecturers and students) development and curriculum development. To achieve this outcome, WSU has formed a health and medical education alliance with KMU, along with Aga Khan University School of Nursing and ACOMET Family Hospital. The aim is to improve health and medical education. One of the activities is to get online discussions and email conversations between KMU and WSU nursing students. The general topic is nursing education.
